"Delivering consistent, cost-effective, reliable, accessible and secure services through IT."

Message From the State CIO
January, 2008 - I am honored to be the first California State Chief Information Officer appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger and I share his commitment to make state government more accessible to Californians through information technology. I look forward to working with the Governor, the legislature, California state officials and the IT communities to create more efficiency and accessibility to state government. Currently I am implementing the Office of the State Chief Information Officer as a cabinet-level agency with statutory authority over strategic vision and planning, enterprise architecture, IT policy as authorized by Senate Bill 834 (Statutes of 2006) or Government Code § 11545, and project approval and oversight as authorized by SB 90, Statutes of 2007.
