About Us

The Office of Information Security (OIS) plays a critical role in ensuring the State's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is capable of delivering vital services in a secure, reliable, and trustworthy manner. The OIS is involved in a broad range of activities within the state and collaborates with Federal, County, and City security professionals. OIS responsibilities include security incident management, security policy development, disaster recovery planning (DRP), risk management, security training and awareness, public outreach, and coordination with hundreds of Information Security Officers (ISOs), Privacy Coordinators and DRP professionals across the state.
