Message from the CIO
As California's Chief Information Officer, I would like to welcome you to our website. Whether you are a Californian interested in technology, work on IT-related issues in government or do business with the state as an IT vendor, I hope you will find this site useful and informative.
In August of 2007, the Office of the State Chief Information Officer was created as a cabinet-level agency with statutory authority over IT strategic vision and planning, enterprise architecture, policy, and project approval and oversight.
As I work with Governor Schwarzenegger to help modernize California's technology infrastructure, I am committed to improving the quality of services and the efficiency of government operations to benefit the people of California.
Thank you for visiting our Web site.
