AIO, Agency Information Officer - The agency information officer is a critical part of the structure and daily operations of state agencies. The AIO of an organization manages, develops, implements, and supervises the successful deployment of IT projects. AIOs are also responsible for overseeing the management of assets, projects, data systems, and IT services through the oversight of departmental CIOs. Each agency CIO is asked to develop an Agency Enterprise Architecture to rationalize and standardize the IT infrastructure, data, and procedures for all departments within the agency.
California state AIOs are included in the
IT Council document (PDF, 21KB).
