This page contains Infrastructure Consolidation Program Workgroup information. The intent of this page is to share information from our workgroups.
Overview As directed by the Infrastructure Consolidation Program (ICP) the Servers, Virtualization, Storage and Backup Workgroup has been formed to help direct the states vision of infrastructure. The Workgroup will work in concert with existing ICP program workgroups to define the roadmap for delivering on the goals and objectives of the State. This includes working with the IT Facilities workgroup to maximize state IT consolidation savings objectives.
Virtualization Practices These documents are designed to give agencies within the State of California some fundamental recommendations in designing Microsoft virtualization or VMware vSphere 4 environments. This documentation is to be used as a guide when planning, designing, purchasing, and implementing virtualization in State of California Agencies as based on the state Virtualization Software Standard –
