SRM, Service Reference Model - SRM is a component-based framework that provides, independent of business function, a foundation for reuse of applications, components, and business services.
Each element of the FEA, found below, has an ID based on the taxonomy. The ID is preceded by the three letter acronymn representing the reference domain of the taxonomy. Each element then may include from one to many standards which extend the ID in numerical sequence preceded by a hyphen. Elements identified as pertaining to SIMM Section 58D must be used to comply with state IT policy. Elements identified as pertaining to SIMM Section 158 are guidelines that are not mandatory. State agencies may find the SIMM 158 guidelines useful in the management of their IT programs.
